Rotterdam Square is proud to be a community partner. We strive to meet community challenges through a combination of employee volunteerism, financial support, in-kind donations and partnerships with non-profit organizations which have missions consistent with our vision and values.
Community Partnerships
City Mission of Schenectady
Rotterdam Square has a continuing relationship with the City
Mission of Schenectady. The Schenectady City Mission seeks to
comprehensively meet the needs of the poor in a manner that dignifies
and strengthens the individual, the family and the community.
Rotterdam Square employees are committed to giving back to the
community and enjoy volunteering by serving food or participating in
programs like the Back to School Boost School Supply drive.
Salvation Army
Beginning in early November, the Salvation Army's Red Kettle Campaign
will be at Rotterdam Square. Help the needy by donating, or volunteer
to ring the bell to help low-income families in Schenectady County. To
learn more about how you can help, please call the Salvation Army.
Contribution Requests
Each year, Rotterdam Square will contribute a preset amount of funds in the form of Gift Cards, merchandise and use of property to a diverse group of organizations. Hundreds of requests are anticipated each year. Donation recipients may include civil organizations' education programs; food banks; foundations; hospitals and healthcare organizations; youth programs; performing arts and museums and many more. Each request is reviewed carefully, however, not all requests can be granted. For more information, please click here.
